We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Economist in London.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing essential economic analysis to support policy, service delivery, and performance-management projects within a local authority setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide robust economic analysis to inform policy development, service delivery, and performance management initiatives.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to define problems and deliver highquality economic insights to address and resolve them.
Generate clear and compelling written and visual materials to communicate economic insights and analysis to diverse audiences, including nonspecialists.
Manage a portfolio of projects spanning various topics, effectively prioritising work to meet deadlines and responding to ad hoc demands as required.
Proactively develop and enhance skills, staying abreast of the latest industry techniques and developments.

Top Skills Required:

Quantitative Analysis: Proficient in analysing economic trends, demographic data, and relevant information to provide insightful and actionable recommendations.

Research: Stay informed about current economic literature, understand the implications of various economic theories, and conduct research to analyse local economic policies, assess their impact, and make recommendations for improvement.

Communication: Ability to present findings in well-written reports accessible to a non-technical audience, including policymakers. Skilled in conveying complex economic concepts through effective presentations.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams, sharing insights, and integrating economic considerations into broader policy discussions. Build strong relationships with various stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and businesses.
