1530Connect2Dudley is actively searching for a Street Cleansing Operative to work on the behalf of the Dudley Council.

Location of the job will be Netherton, Dudley.

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday
Friday
Saturday

To manually cleanse areas as designated by Supervision to include the removal of all glass, cans, litter, detritus and dog fouling with the aid of brooms, shovels and litter picking tools depositing such wastes into disposable sacks.

To report any cleansing omissions, damages to tools and equipment and any safety concerns to supervision within time scales agreed via performance targets.
To ensure all tools and equipment employed on cleansing tasks are operated in a safe manner according to manufacturer's instructions / training received.
To actively contribute to team meetings with Supervision and colleagues.
To empty all litter and dog fouling bins in designated areas at a frequency as to prevent spillage, replacing all waste bags with a suitable liner.
To pick up and discard any hypodermic needles which may be present via a safe method of disposal (sharps box).
To remove any dead animal carcasses that may be present within the working area and assist mobile operatives in the loading onto vehicles prior to incineration.
To remove any fly tipped or dumped wastes that may arise within the working area as designated by Supervision.
To manually sweep all deposited leaf fall and detritus in land inaccessible to mechanical sweepers.
To assist in removing weeds and vegetation within the town centre area.
To open and close the Public Convenience as appropriate within the timescales of the normal working day.
To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, showers, hoists, changing beds and any other fixture or fitting present within the toilet block.
