About the role and team
***- Anthony Collins are recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team.

  • The team represents claimants in personal injury, clinical negligence, abuse and claims against public authorities. We act for injured children and adults. We also act for bereaved families where a person dies as a result of negligence. Our work includes Inquests and civil claims. We are a wellestablished leading law firm, ranked highly in both personal injury and clinical negligence work by Legal 500 and Chambers. We work closely with a number of charities, for whom we are trusted legal partners. As a thriving team, we are recruiting legal assistants to continue to grow the team. The role will involve working with all members of the team, across the spectrum of our work.

Key Duties of the role:

  • Maintain the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all dealings with clients, colleagues and all people with whom you come into contact
  • Accurately and comprehensively to record all time spent in accordance with the firm's time recording system
  • Carry out such administrative duties as may be required on files maintained and supervised by fee earners
  • Assist in, and undertake, legal research
  • Maintain and collate relevant resources and publications
  • Deal with routine correspondence and telephone calls
  • Where requested, to be involved in the production of newsletters, marketing materials and other documents for the benefit of clients generally
  • Develop knowledge and understanding by attendance at relevant in house training sessions to support personal and career development. Those undertaking the CILEX qualification must ensure they complete their CPD requirements.
  • To carry out all other reasonable duties, as requested
  • On the list of key duties, please could you add:
  • Attend meetings with clients, conferences and court hearings, taking comprehensive notes
  • Undertake routine drafting
  • Undertake analysis of medical records and other documentary evidence
  • Attend and assist in the preparation for business development events
***- You will need to be organised, a good communicator, have excellent attention to detail and accuracy and be committed to providing high quality service to our clients as well as being a strong team player.

  • You will need experience in personal injury and/or clinical negligence claims. Experience in or relevant to claims against public authorities is desirable but not a prerequisite.
