Administrator / Receptionist

Bedford

Office based Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

£12 - £12.50 per hour

Temporary Cover - 22nd/ 29th April to 15th May
Our Bedford based client is seeking an Administrator / Receptionist to support daily operations within their well-established office. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic company specialising in the renovation and refurbishment of public businesses. The role entails diverse office tasks, including handling customer inquiries over the phone.

They're seeking an individual who is confident, eager to learn, and adaptable to blend with and support their team on a daily basis.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls and relaying messages
  • Maintaining printer and copier supplies
  • Receiving and signing for mail and packages
  • Sorting, stamping, and distributing mail, as well as processing outgoing mail
  • Printing drawings to required specifications
Overall Responsibilities

  • Assisting project coordinators and accounts team with filing and administrative tasks
  • Data entry
  • Preparing site setup materials
  • Packing health and safety folders
  • Procuring stationery, office supplies, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Managing filing systems
  • Handling laminating tasks
  • Typing meeting minutes and quotations for Directors
  • Copying drawings and plans
  • Following up with subcontractors for pending quotations
  • Contacting suppliers regarding product lead times and prices
  • Coordinating office safety checks
  • Ordering and arranging client lunches
  • Organising and updating the sample library

Requirements:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • GCSElevel proficiency in math and English
  • Positive and cheerful disposition
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong memory and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and assume responsibility
  • Team player mentality

Job Types:
