Platform Engineer

Farnborough, Hampshire / Hybrid
Platform Engineer required by a thriving cutting-edge next gen technology company within the Defence and Security sector.

The Platform Engineer which join a team of super talented peers (and also very nice people) and demonstrate skills and experience includingInfrastructure Automation and Orchestration technologies such as Terraform, ARM and Bicep as well as CI/CD tech (Azure DevOps etc), PaaS, K8S and VMWare.

What you will need
As a Platform Engineer you will work in a fantastic company and have a diverse, challenging, interesting and rewarding position


Essential experience includes:

  • Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration technologies (e.g. Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
  • CI/CD technologies (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, Jenkins)
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings e.g. managed Kubernetes (e.g. AKS, EKS, VMware Tanzu)
  • Hyperscale Cloud provider Infrastructure (e.g. either Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Either holds or has recently held government security clearance already, or is suitable for and willing to go through the vetting process (suitability would include an absence of a serious criminal record, a right to work and live in UK and, preferably,a record of 5 years' UK residency)

Nice to have

  • On-Premise Cloud provider Infrastructure (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
  • GitOps Deployment technology (e.g. FluxCD, ArgoCD)


  • Security tooling

  • IAST, SAST, SCA (e.g. Jfrog, Sonarqube, Snyk, Trivy, tfsec)
