    We are looking for a CommunityProject Officer to join the team in this exciting new role. As a Community Project Officer you will work closely with the project lead and local partners to develop, deliver and monitor a range of upskilling and mentoring support of people aged 16 plus.

    Outline of key responsibilities for the Community Project Officer ...

    • Conducting a thorough assessment of clients' needs in specific neighbourhoods and consistently providing effective solutions through consultation and collaborative efforts.
    • To support in the development and delivery a range of interventions and personal development activities and community projects within identified neighbourhoods ensuring safe and effective target outputs and outcomes are achieved.
    • To develop positive relationships with key agencies
    • To actively recruit and engage participants in sessions and activities
    • To help individuals and families develop confidence and overcome barriers
    • To support in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of a wide range of universal, targeted interventions that individuals/groups of people/families want to participate in – at a time and place suitable to meet their needs.
    • To effectively manage caseloads, achieve targets and objectives, and demonstrate impact, accurate recording of activities on the management system is required through the use of ICT.
    • To complete and carry out Risk Assessments for all activities and initiatives prior to them taking place, recording, and storing them on the Management System for approval from Health and Safety representatives.
    • To ensure familiarity with and compliance to Newground's policies and procedures particularly Safeguarding, Health and Safety and the Environment.
    • Working with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective project communication and collaboration. Preparing project documentation, reports, and presentations.

    We are looking for someone who has...

    • Valid full driving license and access to a car
    • Relevant experience in a similar role
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience of working with adults from 16-65 years old.
    • Ability to motivate and empower customers
    • Experience of developing positive working relationships.
    • Experience of developing and delivering needs led interventions and programmes to promote positive lifestyle choices within the local community and helping people into employment.

    • You will be working out of Colne, Shackleton Hall office, BB8
    • Salary: £26,862 per annum
    • Annual salary increment increases
    • 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays
