    Description

    The primary objective of the role is to maximise revenue through pro-active and reactive selling and commercial management strategies and techniques.

    To carry out sales strategies and action plans which support the hotel purpose and addresses short, mid and long-term business opportunities.

    Maintain regular contact with key accounts to maximise hotel use. Keep accurate information on clients business needs and trends and to proactively use this data.
    Prioritise sales efforts, both by telephone and direct, on :
    the local market
    travel consortia

    To liaise with Reservations, Front Office and Conference department regarding special rates, allocations, promotions etc and to ensure all departments are aware of these.

    Research and identify new sources of business via telephone sales, market research, in-house sales, direct mail, cold calling etc.

    To constantly monitor the performance of the hotel and to develop strategies to rectify any negative deviation in hotel performance.

    To submit weekly reports on sales highlights, groups, M&E confirmed and provisional business.
    To submit on a monthly basis a detailed report on sales activity, contacts, results etc.
    To pro-actively source and report competitor and hotel industry information that will assist in long and short term planning.
    To keep aware, through networking with competitor hotels sales departments, on the trends, threats, opportunities etc. and react accordingly.
    To actively promote the companys other hotels and pass on leads and information to the sales personnel.
    Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.
