Cloud DBA (AWS/PostgreSQL) - DV Clearance Mandatory - 12 month contract

One of our defense clients are looking for a DV Cleared Cloud DBA to help maintain and optimize the PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS Cloud platform.

You'll be working with cross-functional teams to ensure database reliability, availability, and performance, whilst also helping with the strategy and to the overall architecture.

You will also have to be DV Cleared.

Other key skills are listed below;

• Proven experience as a Cloud Database Administrator, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, particularly RDS.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL database internals, architecture, and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and query optimization.
• Experience with database performance tuning and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with database security practices and compliance standards.
• Scripting and automation skills using languages like Python, Bash, JavaScript or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
