    The role:

    We are delighted to be recruiting for a teacher of Psychology to join our high-performing, forward thinking and cohesive department. We teach a well sequenced and knowledge rich curriculum with a clear focus on supporting all students to achieve positive outcomes. You will work with the Subject Leader for Social Sciences, and the wider school team to continually drive attainment and standards across the department. The ability to teach Humanities would be advantageous.

    The candidate appointed will have impressive subject knowledge and a desire to be part of a team of committed professionals within the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty and the whole school. We welcome committed, dynamic and creative applicants with a passion for Psychology. ECT's are very welcome to apply and an ability to teach Sociology would be an advantage.

    The person:

    We seek a teacher who has the following qualities:


    • An excellent classroom practitioner setting high expectations which motivate and challenge students in a productive learning environment;


    • Promote good outcomes by students, planning well-structured lessons;


    • Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge;


    • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students;


    • Make accurate and productive use of assessment;


    • A supportive member of the team who will fulfil wider professional responsibilities with high standards of personal and professional conduct.
