In this role you will have the opportunity to:

Ensure compliance with local environmental health and safety procedures including Kamishibai, risk assessment, near misses and safety concerns
Be responsible for quality and productivity of team members with the authority to stop production to ensure quality problems are corrected
Lead continuous improvement and lean transformation process participating in any CI activities as required, including set up reduction and tooling rationalisation

The essential requirements of the job include:

Ability to lead a team to achieve optimum productivity
City & Guilds Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised technical qualification
To be a skilled machinist of CNC horizontal lathes or 5 axis machining centres and ensure new team members are trained in machine cell setting and machining, and that sufficient contingency of each skill set is available to meet production needs

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Continuous improvement and lean transformation processes
Supporting your team in problem solving opportunities.

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate for this role, enhanced by shift allowance.

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
