- Lead a small team of (~5) Engineers, responsible for evaluating Dimensional Feasibility of the product design, identifying technical issues and ensuring design entitlement to deliver quality targets
- Conduct regular 1:1's with team, setting objectives, managing their performance and supporting with development
- Manage technical issues, leading team with problem solving and driving issue resolution
- Support Line Manager, keeping them updated with status and escalating appropriately
- Attend Programme Meetings at all levels, representing the department and presenting status
- Lead Quality Planning and analysis for vehicle launch maturation
- Keep on top of emerging technologies and industry trends
- Creation and development of functional standards, driving adherence to these
- Product / process benchmarking, awareness of emerging technologies, and developing new ideas
- Automotive background – Dimensional engineering experience in a body or vehicle assembly environment
- Can demonstrate experience in all product launch phases (virtual and delivery) and launching a new vehicle into production facilities
- Strong Communicator; Verbal and Written
- Experience using CAD Packages (CATIA/3DExperience)
- Adept at Problem Solving and Data Analysis
- Experienced in delivering the dimensional requirements of vehicle systems (Front, Side, Roof, Rear, Underbody, Interior Systems) through virtual and delivery phases of development and launch

The Dimensional Systems team are a key part in realising our Modern Luxury design, we are responsible for delivering the world class fit and finish that our discerning customers have come to expect from Jaguar Land Rover. All elements of Dimensional Quality are within our remit, whether it be assessing feasibility of product design and processes, conducting Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA), defining and delivering the Measurement and Metrology strategy, or quality Maturation of new vehicles throughout a product launch.
We are looking for a Lead Dimensional Engineer to be part of our Dimensional Systems Integration (DSI) Team. The DSI team are responsible for delivering the customer-critical dimensional aspects of a finished vehicle. As a Lead Engineer, you will lead a team of Systems Integration Engineers (Front, Side, Roof, Interior, Rear, Underbody) from the early phases of product design through to the launch of the vehicle.
