Capital One is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join one of our backend Java teams, based in our Nottingham head office.

You'll work as part of a self-organised Services engineering team to design and develop software features that are delightful and vital to the lives of credit card consumers across all walks of life
Your scope of work is within your team owned components and supporting, appropriately sized features
You'll have a proven ability to deliver high quality applications
Solid programming skills with a good working knowledge of building APIs using modern OO languages such as Java, SOLID principles, SOA, and REST
Quality is important and therefore you're happy to use approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD and BDD
Working with the cloud/AWS and the opportunities that it brings
This is a permanent position and is based in our Nottingham office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.

We're big on collaboration and connection, so you'll be based in our office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
