We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated Product Owner.


The Accounting Team is a 800+ person global, diverse and award winning team, which partners with our business in investment banking and treasury finance to create products to delight our users through-out the value chain, starting in T+1 Product Control and providing the necessary information to the General Ledger from Transaction and Hedge Accounting.

Your key responsibilities

  • Understanding the needs and gains of our customers, the user journeys and be confident to present to stakeholders
  • Researching, working with customers and teams to generate solution options to customer needs & issues including associated costs and benefits, with emphasis on maximising the value delivered
  • Defining and shaping the Product Vision, Strategy, Roadmap and Backlog, crafting & elaborating the artefacts needed to create flow of value
  • Finding creative ways to elicit needs and information in a global and remote working environment
  • Supporting improving the team mindset and skills by mentoring and coaching them on product management best practices, Product Thinking and Design Thinking

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in finance / risk domain, including business processes, data and rules
  • Genuine passion about Product Thinking / mindset and a desire to do what is best for the End User / Customer, and Deutsche Bank and to focus on outcomes
  • Experience with Product Management processes & techniques for example product vision & strategy, roadmaps, product analytics, user surveys, user interview, user experience testing, design and wireframing, Impact Mapping, Story Mapping, Story writing & splitting etc
  • Working in Agile teams (Scrum / Kanban) and being able to work at scale in an Agile and distributed environment as well as working globally across locations, stakeholders & teams
  • Data analysis & interpretation skills including experience of tools like Excel, SQL, Python
