We are seeking an industry leading Manufacturing Manager with Engineering experience in the Machining and Automation industry to lead the Machining Division.

As part of the ongoing investment in the business this new role will lead the CI, Manufacturing and Engineering disciplines with a hands-on ethos to problem solving.

You will be:

Reporting to the Group Ops Director, responsible for the daily performance of the machining facility ensuring the daily drumbeat is maintained whilst also achieving group wide KPIs in Quality and Performance.
Directly managing of circa 40 personnel a mixture of direct and indirect across Engineering, Manufacturing ( Shopfloor and Planning team ), Quality and Warehousing.
Responsible for the development of the Continuous Improvement Program and installation of new investment such as Automation and 5 Axis Technology.
Managing the Engineering team with a focus on enhancing RFT ethos and continuing the journey of increasing efficiency and maximising capacity headroom for additional growth.
Identifying opportunities for investment within the manufacturing division via diversification of equipment.
Preparing of monthly reports for the board of directors.

About you:

This is a handson role reporting to the Group Operations Director.
A min of 10 years management experience, working and leading an engineeringbased manufacturing environment.
Production planning experience and Continuous Improvement methodology knowledge.
Direct knowledge of Grinding and CNC Machining processes, working to high tolerances and with specialist materials, the Operations Manager should have considerable experience of with a strength in CNC machining and similar operations.
