Snr QA Analyst - Test Automation | Digital FX Trading House | London City, Hybrid | up to £90k + Bonus, Benefits

An experienced Automation QA Analyst is required for a growing financial technology firm that provides innovative digital solutions to support financial transactions and processes within the natural resources sector. Their solutions include digital trading, supply chain finance, risk management, and data analytics, to name a few.

With offices in the UK and Hong Kong, the client is looking for an experienced Automation QA Analyst to work on their award winning front to back office trade management platform.

As the Automation QA Analyst, your role will be to own and manage the existing automation framework by adding new functionalities in UI and valuation systems that will benefit the release team across all business areas. This role requires expertise in test design, planning, execution, and reporting, using a variety of tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Test Design and Planning:

• Provide inputs to detailed test plans and design UI and Data comparison automated tests.
• Implement automated tests using .NET, C#, and SpecFlow.
• Scale the existing automation framework by adding new functionalities.
• Provide development estimates for automation scripts and release test activities.
• Use Azure DevOps for project task management
• Document test scope and summary using Confluence/Zephyr to aid Go/No Go meetings.

Test Preparation, Environments, and Execution:

• Execute automated tests for each release and maintain the automation solution.
• Support QA-led UAT/SIT by performing automation test execution and reporting.
• Lead auto test execution and reporting for BAU releases.
• Own automation defects and follow up with respective Dev Teams / BA's.

Test Reporting:

• Report and maintain automation test reporting frameworks.
• Contribute to automation sprint activities including sprint planning, retrospective, and daily stand-ups and in daily defect and test management meetings and update defects from QA perspective.

The salary for this Automation QA Analyst Role is paying up to £90,000 + Benefits + Bonus.

The firm operates a hybrid way of working with 3 days per week in the office in London City.

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in automated software testing across regression, SIT and UAT.
• Previous experience working in a Front and Middle Office environment, with functional knowledge and experience of a full trade lifecycle, preferably in commodities trading.
• PNL experience will be a bonus for this role.
• Experience using C# / .NET scripting for UI automation and .NET UI automation of 'Windows Automation' frameworks
• Experience using FlaUI or similar windows automation libraries
• Experience using Specflow or any other BDD frameworks.
• Experience Test/Keywork/Excel driven automation frameworks.
• Experience using nunit, dbunit, log4net, .NET libraries and API frameworks.
• Experience working with an ETRM application (such as Allegro Horizon, Endur, Aspect) including pricing and valuation (P&L, risk exposure, etc.)
• Experience in GIT version control.
• Experience working with Azure pipelines.
• Experience of working in Agile and Waterfall delivery model
• Good SQL querying and scripting experience, backend test experience
• Exposure to working with Power BI
• Experience working with Jira and Zephyr for defect management, test preparation, execution, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and experience of implementing test best practice.
• Preferably ISTQB Foundation Level Certified or equivalent.
