    Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to achieve optimal procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness, focusing on electronic components.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the purchasing team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers in the Asia and EMEA regions and evaluate their capabilities, focusing on the technical quality and innovation of electronic components.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms regarding price, quality, delivery times, which include payment conditions, with a strong technical understanding of electronic components.
  • Establish and manage effective relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's technical standards and expectations for electronic components.
  • Collaborate with other departments to accurately forecast demand, ensuring the purchasing strategy aligns with overall business goals and technical requirements.
  • Prepare for and lead the integration of the purchasing function into larger systems and teams, in anticipation of or following potential acquisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to procurement and supply chain management, with an emphasis on technical specifications and international sourcing. The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement, with at least 5 years ideally focused on electronic components.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and strategic thinking skills with a technical background in electronic components.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with experience purchasing from Asia and EMEA region.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and improve procurement processes, focusing on technical products.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in English; German is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in purchasing and supply chain software, SAP, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required. What's on Offer
