    Robert Walters Group: Public Sector Division - Financial Services and Corporate Finance Manager - Permanent - Up to £50,000 per annum

    Role: Financial Services and Corporate Finance Manager
    Duration: Permanent
    Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
    Working Pattern: Birmingham Office with Flexible Hybrid Working
    Qualification of the Financial Controller: Candidates must be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and ideally have worked with a Practice environment

    Duties of the Financial Services and Corporate Finance Manager:
    * The purpose of the role is to coordinate the development and management of effective governance structures and processes that enable the Trustees and Director of International Fund to lead the development and oversight of investments and income in order to effectively fulfil its objectives, vision and mission
    * To oversee departmental corporate governance structures (finance, admin, HR, facilities, compliance), in line with annually agreed targets and budgets from major donor opportunities and partnerships; in support of the activities of the International Fund
    * Reporting to the Director, post holder will be responsible for managing the function including internal and external management and performance reporting, managing rental income of assets, financial accounting and ensure consolidation of accounts and auditing across organisation's operations

    Profile of the Financial Services and Corporate Finance Manager:
    * Member of one of the professional accounting bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA) is essential. A management degree is desirable
    * Substantial experience of audit, regulatory frameworks, risk management, assurance, control of financial resources and financial management at a senior level
    * Ideally from the big 4 audit background
    * Proven experience of managing staff at managerial level, strategic planning, budgeting and corporate decision making
    * Proven experience of engaging with and influencing decision-makers with sound political judgement and sensitivity
    * Ability to demonstrate strategic leadership skills particularly in a changing environment
    * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using a variety of techniques
    * Proven experience of collaborative working as part of a high performing team at a senior level
    * Demonstrable analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills to support effective strategic thinking
    * Demonstrates self-management and awareness with a high level of energy and flexibility
