    Job overview

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work within the Cambridge CAMHS Neurodevelopmental team. We work with children and young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders with comorbid ASD, LD and ADHD, providing comprehensive assessment and intervention.

    We are looking for an individual who is interested and passionate about working with young people in a CAMHS setting. The service offers secondary aged Autism diagnostic assessments as well as individual work and working with young people's networks. We hope that the introduction of a SALT in our team will enhance the treatment offer which we are currently providing.

    You will receive clinical supervision from within the team, as well as from a Speech and Language Therapist for profession specific supervision. We have a monthly CPD programme and regularly MDT reflective meetings. You will join a supportive team who are passionate about making a difference to young people and their families.     Main duties of the job

    The post holder will be responsible for the management of a specialist clinical caseload of children with complex needs including ASD, ADHD, Learning Disabilities and co-morbid mental health needs. They will work independently with access to more senior colleagues as needed.

    This post is suitable for a therapist with experience in the specialism or as a developing specialist post.

    The post holder will play a key contribution within the ASD assessment clinics.
