    Technical Architect (Infrastructure), based in our Store Support Office in Purfleet Essex (Hybrid working).

    This is an exciting new opportunity to join our brilliant team of Technology experts at Carpetright, playing a pivotal role in providing day to day support of Nestware Group's server infrastructure both on premise and cloud.

    You will operate within the existing Infrastructure Team providing design, implementation and 3rd level technical support within the UK and in Europe.

    You'll be an experienced Technical Architect/ Infrastructure Architect, with excellent working knowledge of Windows server OS's, Microsoft Exchange, virtualisation technologies, server applications, server hardware and cloud technologies.

    You'll provide technical leadership to infrastructure, application, and information security teams, ensuring best practices implementation and technological advancement alignment.

    You will oversee the design of IT Infrastructure including hardware, networking, storage, and virtualisation, ensuring infrastructure security, resilience and high performance and availability.

    You'll provide strategic oversight in the implementation of integrated applications and collaborate with application providers to align systems with business needs – introducing continuous improvements to enhance system robustness.

    You will build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and lead technology projects from inception to completion.
    Maintain Exchange Servers and resolve any issues with the email platform. Support and administration of MS Windows Server both on premise and in the cloud.
    ~ Design, support, and administration of MS Exchange server and Exchange Online.
    ~ Design, support, and administration of VMware ESXi & VCenter on premise and cloud – Azure VMWare Solution (AVS).
    ~ Experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and Group Policy.
    ~ Support Microsoft apps and services (Example: Office, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, Defender)
    ~ Microsoft Licenses understanding and managing.
    ~ Server Hardware configuration and builds both on premise and in the cloud.
    ~ Mimecast design and implementation.
    ~ Network and application security – best practice, RADIUS, ACL, IAM
    ~ Wireless network design and implementation
    ~ An understanding of Cloud networking principles and related Azure components (VPN / ExpressRoute, VNet topology, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Routing etc.)
    ~ IaaS / PaaS monitoring
    ~ Infrastructure As Code (IaC) – ARM templates and DevOps pipelines
    ~ Backup Software various – on premise and cloud.
    ~ SQL Server on premise and cloud.
    ~ Azure DevOps – Work item tracking, Repos, Pipelines Excellent level of technical experience in all aspects of IT infrastructure on premise and cloud
    ~ Project management and delivering IT projects to agreed timescales and budget.
