Are you looking for a fresh challenge or a next step in your career? We are recruiting 1 x part time teaching assistant and 1 x part time care assistant to join our small, dedicated team to start in September. You will be joining a school with a close knit, highly motivated and dedicated staff team, where pupils are respectful and motivated to learn. Previous experience of working with children in a primary setting would be an advantage but not essential.

Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: Bucks Pay Range 1b -2 depending on skills and experience
Contract type: Temporary/Permanent
Hours: Position 1 (Permanent): 10.15am-12.45pm Tuesdays 12.45pm-3.15pm Wednesdays pm Thursdays 10.15am-12.45pm and 1.15pm -3.15pm Fridays. Position 2 (Fixed Term-1 Year Initially with a view to extending): 10.45am-1.15pm Mondays pm Tuesdays pm Wednesdays 11.45am-1.15pm Thursdays pm Fridays.

About the role
Position 1 will include the delivering of phonics teaching and reading to groups of pupils, as directed by the class teacher, as well as supporting children in class in maths and other subjects. You will also take responsibility for delivering group interventions/individualised programmes of study, as directed by the class teacher. You will assist in monitoring pupils and assessing and recording their achievement and progress. You will promote the learning and personal development of pupils enabling them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them and to achieve their full potential. In addition, there will be some lunch supervision/mid morning break duties.
Position 2 is to provide 1:1 support for a 6 year old child with medical needs [Type 1 diabetes] during late mornings and lunch times. The role involves administering insulin, monitoring the child during lesson time, lunch time and play time and responding to changes in the child's blood glucose levels. Full training will be given. There is a possibility that the hours of position 2 could increase in time, to provide support to other pupils in the class with additional needs, depending on funding.

• Hold Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above
