    SEMH Teacher

    Location: Hull
    Salary Scale: £ £43685 p.a
    Start Date: ASAP

    GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher for a supportive school in Hull. This role involves working closely with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing them with the educational support and guidance they require to succeed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH students.
    • Create a supportive and understanding classroom environment to encourage student engagement.
    • Work collaboratively with TAs and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students.
    • Employ strategies to manage challenging behaviours positively and effectively.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • Experience working with SEMH students or in a similar setting preferred.
    • Strong understanding of the curriculum and how to adapt it for SEMH learners.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Resilience, patience, and a compassionate approach towards student needs.
