    MB548: Survival Equipment TechnicianLocation: RAF CranwellSalary: £27,461.35Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 37 hours per weekCompany Benefits: Generous holiday allowance, Matched contribution pension scheme, Life assurance, Employee share scheme, Employee shopping savings portal, Reservists in the armed forces receive 10-days special paid leave, Holiday Trading is a benefit that allows the majority of employees to buy additional leave or to sell up to one working week of annual leave from their annual entitlement, 'Be Kind Day' enables employees to take one working day's paid leave a year (or equivalent hours) to undertake volunteering work with their chosen organisation or registered charity.Overview:First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Survival Equipment Technician on a permanent basis due to growth located at their RAF Cranwell depot.Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Appropriately task manpower resource within their area of responsibility so that scheduled maintenance programs are maintained, and emergent tasks are rectified in good time.
    • Act as a source of trade knowledge and maintenance process guidance to junior colleagues in the department.
    • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data with discrepancies, errors and omissions reported appropriately for rectification
    • Ensure staff hold and can display currency in all maintenance authorities required whilst carrying out maintenance
    • Ensure staff are briefed on all latest safety, company and maintenance notices and that understanding is confirmed

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Experience of Parachute maintenance and packing.
    • Experience of Life Raft maintenance and packing
    • RAF Flying Clothing Maintenance and Fitting.
    • RAF Survival Equipment Course or civilian equivalent.
    • Q-SE-AC or Q-AV-MED
