    Job Description

    What is the opportunity?

    The newly created Operations Department in Jersey is building out a team of professionals to perform operational activities to support the running of key functions across the organisation, whilst ensuring adherence to ongoing and upcoming regulatory requirements.

    In this role secondment / contract role, you will process and verify wholesale trades booked by our traders ensuring timely cash settlement and confirmation matching

    Verify inward funds by complying with Wire Transfer Regulations and the banks cut-off times.

    To clearly communicate and work with peers ensuring all roles and responsibilities are covered for banking & payments functions.

    To provide subject matter expertise relating to the area of banking and ensuring all transactions are dealt with in accordance of our defined Service Level Agreements

    What will you do?

    • Processing and verifying Inward funds and dealing with non-compliant receipts
    • Processing and verifying all trade tickets produced by the dealers, ensuring cash settlement and confirmation matching is performed in a timely manner.
    • Input/verify system rate updates
    • Paying in Cheques in all currencies, including Special Presentations, Collections and Negotiations
    • Oversight of the production and validation of audit requests and interest certificates
    • Keep appraised of Regulations and Market changes and be involved in system requirements, testing and implementation of projects (including ISO20022)
    • Represent the Company and department in a professional manner whilst dealing with our internal and external clients
    • Assist with staff training to provide effective knowledge, understanding and absentee cover

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must have

    • Demonstrate a calm, logical approach to problem solving and exception management
    • Be able to work well under pressure
    • A positive and proactive attitude towards change
    • A collaborative nature and willingness to work towards common goals as a team

    Nice to have

    • Good understanding of the banking products offered by the business lines
    • Good knowledge of Banking/Payment Systems & SWIFT
    • A practical understanding of Banking and Treasury Products
