    About the role

    If you're interested in joining our Process Support Team, we have a great opportunity. We are looking to recruit a Process Control Technician (Water Treatment) to work within our Water Quality Process Support Team.

    You'll join a team that is responsible for providing technical assistance to our operational teams supplying potable water to our customers across the Essex and Suffolk region.

    This team will be focusing on supporting our water supply teams providing leading water quality to our customers whist protecting the environment. This role will include raising awareness of the water treatment process operation, monitoring and control, establishing a heightened level of competence across the Water Supply teams. This will include embedding best practice and coaching to the wider team.

    Working collaboratively with our Water Supply and Water Quality teams, you will evaluate asset condition, review performance utilising SCADA and other business intelligence systems, undertaking root cause analysis by reviewing data quality and accuracy, providing written reports, identifying opportunities for improvement.

    About you

    Our Process Control Technician (Water Treatment) will carry out regular performance analysis of water quality performance, so we are looking for someone who has a sound understanding of water treatment processes or a science-based background and is confident with interrogating and interpreting data to ensure our water treatment processes are effective and efficient. No two days are the same. You will be someone happy working in as an integral part of a team or alone with minimal supervision and flexible enough to meet a varied workload,

    You will be highly motivated, demonstrating flexibility with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work efficiently both alone and with others. We are looking for you to be able to provide technical assistance for those operating our water treatment teams processes, undertaking data analysis and interpretation, identifying problems, providing solutions to resolve issues and to optimise assets and processes.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to enhance their technical knowledge, engaging with internal and external partners and take the initiative, helping to influence and shape the ways of working within the Water team.

    A full driving licence is essential.
