Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated Project Support Officer to help deliver a broad project portfolio, covering all areas of the Institute¿s activity.

This role offers the opportunity to take part in a range of new and ongoing projects which will transform our teaching provision and support ambitious research goals with tangible societal impact.

Individual projects range from internal policy development and process improvement, to largescale infrastructure projects linked to the development of a new, state of the art, clinical academic sciences teaching hub which is currently in the early planning stages.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations you will be a key member of the Institute Professional Services Leadership Team, liaising with senior academic and Professional Services colleagues and proactively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will have oversight of the Institute¿s strategic project portfolio and your role will be pivotal to ensuring that project leads are able to deliver targets on time and to budget.

You will be involved in shaping the Institute¿s project priorities, and will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence and delegated responsibility.

The role requires adaptability and creative-thinking, whilst maintaining an eye for detail and an awareness of the long term project objectives.

There will be opportunity for training and professional development as well as mentoring from senior project and programme managers to support your career development.

Whilst desirable, previous experience in higher education is not essential for this role.

The post is available on a permanent basis

Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to spend 2-3 days per week on campus.
