    Exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Science Teacher to join this vibrant Secondary School in Kensington & Chelsea as a Second in Charge of Science

    The school is committed to providing an outstanding education for all students, and we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to help achieve this goal. As Second in Charge of Science, you will play a key role in leading and managing the Biology department, and supporting the Head of Science in the planning and delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

    In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will work closely with the Head of Science to develop and implement curriculum plans, and ensure that all schemes of work and lesson plans are effective and up-to-date. You will also assist with the coordination of departmental resources, and support the professional development of your colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and training.

    The successful candidate will be an outstanding Science Teacher with a proven track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes. You will have a thorough understanding of the UK Science curriculum, as well as excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills. You will also be committed to delivering an inclusive and engaging learning experience for all your students, and be passionate about promoting a love of all aspects of Science.

    Second in Charge of Science (2ic) | Person Description:

    • QTS and a relevant First-Class or 2:1 Science-related degree
    • Ability to teach all Sciences across KS3 and KS4
    • Proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning as Science Teacher
    • Inspiring and enthusiastic Science Teacher
    • Committed and imaginative Science Teacher
    • Strong communicator with the ability to motivate the immediate school community and the extended wider community

    As Second in Charge of Science, you will have excellent communication, leadership and management skills, and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the school. You will be a role model for your students and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism, commitment, and a strong work ethic.
