Hybrid working - 2 days a week office based.

My client is a market leading Financial Services business.


Job Purpose


Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for effectively leading the Marketing team to create the overall marketing strategies (both B2B and B2C) to support the growth of the business.


Responsibilities

  • Developing a clear marketing strategy across all channels.
  • Working with the business Sales Teams, you will plan and execute campaigns to drive and develop the pipeline.
  • Identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage and create new business opportunities.
  • Engaging and managing relationships with internal departments and with creative, digital and media buying agencies.
  • Continually seek to understand and challenge the needs, wants and aspirations of their clients.
  • Overall responsibility for the annual marketing budget.
  • Promoting the personal development of your team.
  • Lead the development of end user and channel communications strategies and tactical plans that deliver commercial benefit for the business using the full promotional mix.
  • Develop strong relationships across Sales to ensure full alignment of marketing activity, planning, process & business reporting.
  • Handson production and management of reviewing and updating all collateral, including sector and service brochures, flyers, capability statements, presentations contributing to drafting content, messaging, format and design in line with established brandguidelines.
  • Liaise with the senior management team on press releases, thought leadership articles, news items, social media posts, white papers and website updates.
  • Organising events, both inperson and virtual, for clients and staff.
  • Identifying areas of tailored added value to raise the company profile and brand awareness.
  • Assist with marketing and communicating wider business initiatives e.g. CSR/social value.

Experience & Skills

  • Previous indepth knowledge in a Marketing environment.
  • Previous experience of working with and managing external agencies.
  • Creating successful strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and able to tie campaign activity to sustainable business growth via customer retention.
  • Articulate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled at stakeholder management across all levels of seniority.
  • Collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to positively influence.
  • A true team player, able to coach, encourage and learn from a supportive network of peers & colleagues.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the full marketing mix with particular emphasis on digital, strategic marketing, PR, communications and brand.
  • Understanding of customer segmentation.
  • Understand the marketing process through from briefing to implementation.
  • Experience of brand development and a passion for protecting and enhancing brand image.
  • Possess the ability to form strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of decision makers.
  • Strong business acumen and project management skills.
  • A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts and proposals
  • Results driven, selfmotivated and a team player.
