- Overseeing daily operations, including resource allocation, team briefings, equipment booking, and external resource/labour coordination.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including collecting daily defect sheets, monitoring equipment checklists, and providing adequate training and PPE.
- Managing Waste Transfer notes, timesheets, and operational profitability in line with company budgets.
- Supporting business development and client management efforts as required.
- Coordinating day-to-day activities, assigning resources efficiently, and seeking operational efficiencies.
- Liaising with warehouse operatives and coordinating associated activities.
- Negotiating rates, managing costs effectively, generating purchase orders, and assessing suppliers.
- Providing excellent customer service administration, verifying work information sheets, and handling carton deposits promptly.
- Advising on resource availability, pricing, and delivery of products to clients.
- People management, including training, development, performance management, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Monitoring vehicle compliance with transport regulations, supervising driving hours, and collaborating with removal crews for efficient operations.
- Acting as Deputy for Operations Manager when needed. The role will involve some travel nationwide and may involve occasional overnight stays in lodgings.
