We have an opportunity for a
Cleaner to join our busy team in
Borougbridge on a
part time, permanent basis.

Myers Building Supplies has 16 branches throughout Yorkshire and is part of the family-owned Myers Group. We are looking to recruit a motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our committed and experienced team supplying a whole range of building materials including kitchens and bathrooms. As Cleaner your main duties and key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake all cleaning activities to ensure a clean and hygienic workplace
  • Liaise proactively with all stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and the workplace is maintained to the level of cleanliness specified
  • Ensure that cleaning activities are carried out at the times/dates specified and react to requests to additional cleaning in a timely manner
  • Ensure cleaning activities are undertaken professionally and promptly, whilst not interfering with the day to day running of the business
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by the Company from time to time, as instructed by or under the direction of your immediate supervisor

Preferred skills, experience and attributes:


  • Able to operate machines, after suitable training provided.
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be selfmotivated, have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems at source
  • Excellent approach to Health & Safety
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Must be flexible
  • Work as part of a team
