As the Mechanical Design Engineer your job significance includes:

To create mechanical designs for a range of different assembly machines
To create timing diagrams and functions lists for machine designs
To ensure safety both in designs and implementation in house and on customer sites
To provide guidance and advise on a technical level to other departments
To liaise with site teams to ensure smooth interaction between site and engineers
To interface with both in house subcontract staff and exterior design resources
To support other departments within the company including Sales, Purchasing, HR, Finance and Factory To work effectively as part of a multidisciplined team
To support the mechanical design requirements for both powertrain and car body technology sides of the business
