    Description

    Danny's Event Catering is recruiting a Catering General Manager which will mainly involve overseeing all catering & bar operations on our client's site at Knockhill Racing Circuit.

    Knockhill is much more than a racing circuit, & outside motorsport events, Knockhill has an extremely busy schedule all year round, with many private events such as meetings, business lunches, private occasions & birthday parties. This role will consist of midweek & weekend working with days split between Knockhill & our head office at Uddingston. You will form part of the Senior Management Team therefore you will be working closely with other Managers & company directors, assuming the lead from them.

    This role is not exclusive to Knockhill, and you will be involved in other accounts / areas of the business, however ultimately you will be accountable for the performance of the account. You will be responsible for ensuring that the site operates efficiently & effectively while meeting the high standards of service that our clients have come to expect from Danny's Event Catering. There is already an excellent, established core team & so you must integrate yourself into this while carrying out your role effectively.

    Our expectations of our management team is that they are very hands on in their role, their guidance should come from a position of both practical & theoretical experience. You must lead by example, inspire your team & have a passion for success.     Responsibilities

    • Act as the client liaison. Replying to all client correspondences.
    • Implementation, management & enforcement of relevant business processes & policies.
    • Overall accountability for all aspects of business compliance including but not limited to Health & Safety, Food Safety, Alcohol Licensing & Finance.
    • P&Ls managed to deliver & exceed budget.
    • Development of a strategic plan to grow the account in the short, medium & long terms.
    • Delivery of staff training.
    • All areas of recruitment & discipline.
    • Dish GP work with the kitchen team.
    • Ensuring profitability of the account.
    • Management of investment of the account in conjunction with the Senior Management Team.

    Essentials

    • Track record of delivering hospitality at large events.
    • Highly developed verbal & written communication skills.
    • Previous experience of client & supplier engagement.
    • Purchasing experience.
    • Driving licence.
    • A background in event catering of a similar nature.
    • Computer literacy with a good level of understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • A minimum of 3 years management experience in a similar role.
    • Proven track record in delivering profitability & success.
    • Ability to train, improve & develop colleagues so we can maintain our promote within plans.
