3 months contract with a Berkshire based Local Authority._Job Summary:
- The post holder will be responsible for administrative support within the Independent Living Team (ILT) service, which oversees the Disabled Facilities Grant adaptations (DFG) within the borough.
- The post holder will be a point of contact for our service users, our internal colleagues, and our external partners.
- The post holder will be required to input data and maintain service monitoring trackers.
- Exceptional communication skills are a must for the role, as the post holder will be required to engage with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
- To provide confidential administrative support to the Independent Living
- Disabled Facilities Grant Service.
- Monitoring and actioning referrals and queries in the team inbox, dealing with enquiries as first point of contact.
- Inputting data on to service monitoring trackers and software systems.
- Invoice processing, requisition.
Attend relevant training and development to keep up to date with relevant issues, legislation, and regulations as they may relate to Disabled Facilities Grants.
- To undertake any other duties which may be required and are commensurate with this position.
Essential Experience Required:
- Minimum two years' experience within a similar role.
- An awareness and sensitivity to the needs and wishes of vulnerable people living in the community with special needs.
- The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
- Excellent verbal, written and IT skills including Microsoft excel.
- Knowledge and understanding of inputting/processing data in line with General Data Protection requirements (GDPR)
