Assembly Department

Product Design & Development Technician

Engineering Technician Level 3 Standard

  • Working within the assembly department to build and test valves, actuators and related products.
  • Ensure components are compliant to the right quality requirements, within standards and tolerances.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing and assembly drawings and test specifications.
  • Carry out critical pressure tests witnessed by customers and quality inspectors.
  • Use problem solving and critical thinking skills to resolve problems and generate solutions.

Research & Development Department

Product Design & Development Technician

Engineering Technician Level 3 Standard

  • Working within the research and development department to develop concept designs and resolve issues when required by assembly department.
  • Build and test new prototype products and analyse performance data.
  • Carry out specialist validation testing and specify new equipment.
  • Undertake detailed fault investigations into nonperforming products.
