    Reporting to the newly appointed Head of Nursing, the successful candidate will work closely with the Hospital Directors alongside and variety of internal and external stakeholders across the business. This role will also work closely with Consultants, the Senior Management Team and the EKHUFT and SPH clinical teams

    The interview will include a short 15 minute presentation.

    Main duties of the job

  • To effectively manage and lead SPH theatres
  • To liaise with consultants
  • Work with the teams to attain and maintain a CQC rating of Good or Outstanding
  • Provide leadership to staff and management of staff and services
  • To monitor clinical practice.
  • To provide direct supervision and coaching
  • To control the allocation and flow of work in theatres
  • To maintain accurate and comprehensive records.
  • To provide hands on clinical duties as required.
  • To identify, plan and implement service development
  • The management of the endoscopy services (tbc).

    To be responsible andaccountable for the management of theatre services across the Spencer PrivateHospital (SPH) sites in order to achieve the results required by the hospital;through effective direction and management of staff and the efficient use ofthe resources allocated.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
  • NMC/HPC Registered
  • Minimum time of 3 years at band 6 level
  • Surgical Assistant Qualification
  • Desirable

  • Management Qualification
  • Experience

  • Ability to assess, plan and evaluate patient care
  • Knowledge of research and evidence-based practice
  • Catalyst for change
  • Knowledge of CQC
  • Orthopaedic surgeries
  • Minimally invasive procedures
  • Demonstrate competency in anaesthetics,

  • Surgery/recovery/ Endoscopy (where appropriate)
