We are currently hiring for a Process Improvement & Data Specialist to join the Manufacturing Logistics department here at JLR.
The purpose of this role is to support and execute the logistics strategy for MP&L to support JLR programme introductions as well as providing ongoing technical and operational support to MP&L operations across the JLR Halewood site.
Your primary focus will involve delivering comprehensive reports and analysis to support JLR's strategic initiatives.This would entail delving into the core data and visualising that as a dashboard, setting them up and maintaining them using technical tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
These will be shown across the factories and information boards as a consolidated report.
You will be expected to collate data from all systems, looking for trends, ways to improve process, present said data to different stakeholders, as well as using data approach to look at all systems, report problems, and come up with ideas to fix, documenting your processes.
You will also collaborate closely with external partners to deliver the best solution including writing specifications, performing UAT testing and handover of the finished solution.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Setting up and maintaining of reports and dashboards using technical tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
- Work with chosen external partner, documenting and conveying our processes to them.
- Gather and analyse data to support factbased problemsolving workshops and contribute to the creation and management of standardised countermeasures, emphasising process efficiency and performance measurement.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
In order to be considered for this position, it is essential that you have previous experience working with digital visualisation tools, such as tableau, Power BI, Google Cloud, or similar.
Proficiency using SAP will be ideal, but is not essential, and of course you will need demonstratable evidence of problem solving using data.
Essential:
- Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Cloud or similar platforms, and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience of leading or assisting in process improvement
- Proficiency and experience in gathering and analysing data to drive informed decision making
