SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) - Year 2 Support
Position:
Full-time
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:1- 15:45
Daily Rate:
£90 - £110 PAYE (depending on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a child in Year 2 who is high-functioning autistic.
This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support to the child to ensure they are able to access learning opportunities and reach their full potential.
About the Child:
The child is high-functioning autistic, requiring support to stay on task and maintain focus.
Provide one-to-one support to the child, assisting with their learning activities and ensuring they remain focused and engaged.
Adapt and differentiate learning resources and activities to meet the child's individual needs and learning style.
Support the child in accessing the curriculum, particularly in areas where they are working at a higher level.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and review the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and any additional support strategies.
Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.Strong understanding of autism and strategies for supporting children with autism.
Ability to adapt and differentiate learning activities to meet the child's needs and interests.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with the child and other members of staff.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with diverse learning needs.Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience.
