Description

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Assistant to work for a highly prestigious office restaurant in the heart of Canary wharf London.


As a Hospitality Assistant you must have experience working as within a similar establishment, be flexible and customer focused, with an eye for detail.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our dedicated catering team.


_Main Duties_

  • Assist Hospitality Supervisor/Manager.
  • Serve all customers in a professional and friendly manner, adhering to customer service standards as laid out in the Impressions Customer Service Training Programme.
  • To maintain a clean and tidy section at all times.
  • Wear correct uniform whenever on duty, including name badge.
  • Probe and record temperatures as required.
  • To ensure that all fridges & displays remain clean, tidy and fully stocked throughout service.
  • To prepare the dining area which may include moving and setting up furniture as required.
  • To follow the highest standards, both in presentation and service of the offer as a whole.
  • To champion consistency in the look and feel of the service delivery and service times are met.
  • To report any concerns / out of stock items to the supervisor/manager.
  • To have good communication with all team members and to understand the products, service and common goals of the business.
  • To provide feedback to supervisor/manager regarding any issues or suggestions for service improvement.
  • To make sure upselling is maximised throughout service and notify supervisor/manager of any change in prices that need to be rectified.
  • To inform the supervisor/manager of any illness as soon as possible.
  • To ensure that pantry area is ready for the start of service.
  • To ensure aware of daily room delivery content and service specifications.
  • To ensure all back up stock is available including food.
  • To ensure all room set ups are of a high standard and well presented.
  • To ensure all items clean, clear, and decals in position where appropriate.
  • To perform all cleaning duties as per the rota, and ensure necessary paperwork is completed.
  • To maintain excellent personal hygiene.
  • To report any hazards / equipment defects to the supervisor/manager.
  • To ensure you understand and follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety protocols at all times.
  • To always wear protective clothing and dress according to the norms laid down by Autograph.
  • To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time.
  • To complete all online ilearn training as requires within the set time scale.
  • To assist with stock takes as advised by management.
  • To ensure all administration concerning stock transferral or requisition is completed to required standard.
  • To report all breakages to the management.
  • To assist with the Restaurant duties and service.
  • To report any incidents, accidents, or other irregularities to the Catering Manager.
  • To carry out any reasonable request by management. Including overtime requests for evening and occasional weekend work to fit the business needs

_Person Specification_

  • Previous experience in a similar role, or 1 years' experience as a Hospitality Assistant
  • Working well within a team as well as independently
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • The ability to work with speed and accuracy at all times
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Motivated by delivering a great service, with an eye for detail
  • High standard of personal hygiene
  • You will be food orientated and innovative in your ideas and suggestions
  • You will be skilled at using your own initiative and demonstrate an awareness of policies and procedures
