    Job Summary:

    The Associate Director – Future Workplace will lead our small centre of excellence to define our future products. Working with our world-class design teams and in-house leasing, investment, development and construction business units the role-holder will bring creativity, data insight and collaboration skills to help us create the best possible workspaces for our current and future customers.

    Closing date: 3rd May 2024
    Annual salary: circa £100k to £120k dependent on experience

    Main Responsibilities:

    This is an office-based role with the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week

  • Being the principal accountable person in CWG for the design intent of new workspace at Canary Wharf.
  • Supporting the leasing, development, investment and construction teams to deliver new buildings, strategic interventions in common areas, repurpose old ones and create new MadeFor and other turnkey offers.
  • Accountable for coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to interpret a client brief into an exceptionally designed space which is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
  • Accountable for managing a small team of design and CAD experts alongside an external team of consultants to deliver design concepts and construction information to inform delivery.
  • Accountable for building a knowledge base of the work of others around the world, and to use data and workplace theory to inform our own design thinking at CWG.
  • What We Require of You:

  • Minimum 8 years relevant industry experience
  • A proven track record of innovative workspace delivery, including the construction phase.
  • Design flair and proven experience in concept design and creating/managing design briefs.
  • A self-motivated leader, with line management experience.
  • An articulate communicator, with strong collaboration and coordination skills who thrives in a team environment.
  • Project management experience including design coordination, information flow, design/construction programmes, costs and budgeting
  • A broad knowledge of FF&E including furniture, product, lighting design trends in the current market are is essential.
  • A broad knowledge of sustainable products within various applications is essential.
