    What we do:

    The Derivatives Services Delivery (DSD) group is a global team responsible for supporting our clients' derivative custody and accounting transactions. We provide analytics and reporting services, working to improve and automate transaction processing systems. It is a centre of excellence maximizing specific knowledge around complex derivative products. Derivative custody and accounting activity includes swap, option, forwards, futures, collateral and cash processing.

    The team provides processing, inquiry and resolution support for over Investment Managers and Internally Managed clients through a dedicated servicing unit. Clients are mainly domiciled in the US and EMEA but some are also based in APAC, Brazil, and Canada.

    The Federal Reserve (FED) is the key regulator interacting with US DSD; however, other regulatory bodies such as the National Bank of Belgium (NBB), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) influence the risks and controls.

    The successful candidate will:

    Supporting the custody needs of our clients and their appointed Investment Managers for cash and securities movement and settlement.

    This position will be working on a hybrid model with days in the office.

    Essential Functions – Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for clients and assists in communicating needs and issues internally with operating areas and externally with clients.
  • Provides work direction and technical assistance on complex matters.
  • Identifies, investigates and resolves escalated and/or complex problems.
  • Trains staff in technical tools and skills as well as specific internal or external client support activities.
  • Processes account related transactions per scheduled events/client authenticated direction.
  • Answers inquiries and resolves problems or issues as required from internal teams and parties external to BNYM.
  • Assesses needs and suggests/promotes alternative approaches to service models.
  • Participates in testing to ensure that products continue to accurately and efficiently process high value transactions.
  • Break investigation based on an understanding and knowledge of processing the intricacies of the system.
  • Collating and distributing metrics and MI.
  • Would be responsible for checking work of support team members.
  • Helps develop and supports the achievement of team objectives.
  • What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Sufficient work experience is preferred.
  • Experience in reconciliations, trade processing, settlements and cash processing are all skills transferrable to this role. Full derivative product training will be provided and is not a barrier to entry.
