About the RoleWe are seeking a talented and motivated Research Assistant Chemist with excellent organisational and people skills to join our team.

The successful candidate will work on a broad range of stimulating research activities in close collaboration with our scientific team to further enhance our delivery technology and develop next generation mRNA therapies.

Key ResponsibilitiesFollow formulation protocols to support in-house evaluation of therapeutic deliveryPropose, plan and execute experiments aiding product developmentDevelop analytical assaysAccurately record and report experimental resultsApply technical and scientific skills to present findings in a concise and effective mannerProactively look for and read scientific literature to enhance understanding of projectsAssist general laboratory management and maintenanceFollow standard operating procedures and comply with health and safety rulesBackground and ExperienceA Masters degree in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or equivalent chemical sciencesExperience working in an industrial R&D environment is an advantageHands-on experience with nanoparticle production and characterisationExperience in bio-conjugationStrong theoretical and practical chemistry skillsExcellent record keeping skills with attention to detailProficient IT and data analysis skillsAbility to work independently but also collaboratively within a teamAbility to prioritise tasks to meet deadlinesExcellent oral and written communication skillsDon't hesitate to get in touch - we're excited to learn more about you
