We are looking for the right people to help us to deliver the support that is needed across the district.

As a Debt Support Officer you will provide administrative support within our busy Debt Service, dealing with customer queries, contacting tenants and coordinating the administrative functions associated with Universal Credit, court action and the operational recovery of debt.

Being part of the Central Debt Team is more than just collecting debt. It's about seeing the bigger picture and working flexibly to meet the needs of our tenants.

What we're looking for:

- a qualification at level 2 of the Regulated Qualifications Credit Framework in Maths and English;
- able to work effectively in a highly pressurised environment and organise work to meet deadlines and targets;
- committed to promoting choice and high standards of customer service;
- administration experience;

  • IT literate, skilled at using PC data based systems;
- clear written and verbal skills;
- demonstrate an understanding of equal opportunities in service delivery;
- assertiveness skills;
- the ability to examine/interpret and record information effectively;
- experience of delivering customer focused services;
- good listening skills and a pleasant telephone manner; and
- to work evening and weekends based on business requirement.
