Great Bear is a leading 3rd party logistics business providing a wide range of ambient warehousing services, shared-user and dedicated transport solutions to a wide variety of customers alongside offering a flexible mix of added-value services to simplifysupply chain.
Our Tattenhall site are now recruiting for a Finance Administrator on a full time basis.
Salary:
£24,000- £27,000 Per annum
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 08.30 am pm, with the Opportunity for Flexible / Hybrid Working
The purpose of aFinance Administrator is to support the finance team in providing the operational management with information required for the successful running of the department.
As a Finance Administrator it is important to assist in the smooth running of the office, ensuring that certain key areas are completed in a timely manner, as stipulated in the month end timetable.
Key Duties of a Finance Administrator:
- Support the financial accountant with management of cash forecasting to aid with critical business decisions.
- Cash book, including extracting daily bank statements and daily bank reconciliation.
- Cash posting and allocation of sales, purchase and nominal ledger entries and management of the cashbook on a daily basis.
- Processing of supplier payments for weekly and month end BACs runs.
- Update filing systems for digitalised documents and backup in an efficient manner.
- Assist in delivering the annual audit & statutory reporting requirements.
- Balance sheet reconciliation.
- Phone cover during busy periods.
- Support the finance team with adhoc projects.
- Purchase invoice input into the company accounting
Qualifications
- A good understanding of accounting knowledge. A qualification in AAT or book keeping is preferable.
- Demonstrate good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, multi task and manage work to a high standard and strict deadlines.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels within the business.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business and its customers.
- Must be a strong team player, have a good work ethic and remain professional at all times.
- Desire to suggest improvements to current processes.
