    Description

    As a SHEQT Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, and Training standards within our clients organisation.

    Your responsibilities will include providing guidance and support to maintain adherence to policies, procedures, and practices. Our client is seeking a proactive individual who can effectively balance business needs, client requirements, and regulatory compliance.

    Full-Time/Temporary 3 Month Contract/Office based with site visits

    This is a temporary position with potential to progress into a permanent role with the right candidate.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide support to project management teams in maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices across all projects.
    • Conduct detailed inspections to verify compliance with SHEQT standards, company and client management systems, and industry best practices.
    • Manage the safe maintenance and risk assessment of plant and materials, ensuring compliance with regulations such as PUWER, LOLER, RAMS, CoSHH, and FIRE.
    • Cultivate a culture of safety and consistency among the workforce.
    • Collaborate with operations planning and delivery teams, offering assistance and fostering teamwork.
    • Supervise contractors and ensure strict adherence to SHEQT standards.
    • Perform equipment inspections as needed and deliver accredited and tailored training programmes.
    • Lead incident investigations and share educational materials to promote proactive learning.

    Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

    Essential:

    • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
    • Valid CSCS card aligned with the job role.
    • Proficiency in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
    • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
    • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong working relationships.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

    Desirable:

    • Experience in Construction or Civil Engineering.
    • Certificate in TEEPs and TSTS.
    • IEMA Environmental Qualification.
    • Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
    • Fire Risk Assessor certification.
    • CoSHH Assessor certification.
    • Experience with lifting equipment such as cranes.
    • Knowledge of Behavioural Safety principles.
    • Trainer or teaching qualification
