    The Trading & Liquidity team within Aladdin Product Group is responsible for designing, development and support of software used by BlackRock and BlackRock Solution clients for all trading workflows.

    The team focuses on delivering best-in-class enterprise trading solution for all financial products on one global real-time platform.

    The Aladdin Trading System consists of applications built using a micro-services architecture and utilizes technologies like Apache Cassandra, a highly available NoSQL database, Apache Zookeeper, a distributed coordinator and Spark Streaming for its rule engine.

    Collaborate with traders and product managers to improve our trading ecosystem by coming up with creative ideas and discussing feature requests, issues, and resolution

    • Be involved in entire life cycle of project, from design to development and deployment. Design and develop innovative solutions to complex problems, identifying issues and roadblocks around support, testing, development effort
    Experience maintaining/enhancing systems written in Java and related frameworks. (Experience building distributed, performant, and scalable platforms

    • Experience building distributed libraries, services, and support tools used by internal and external clients
    • Experience debugging and analyzing software and making changes and architecture recommendations to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
    • Strong experience with regression/unit/integration testing
    • Experience working with multiple Middleware SO libraries and architectures.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of internal workings of Java
    • Knowledge of latest performance techniques in Java/

    JVM:
    low/no GC, off-heap caching, kernel bypass, cache locality, CPU pinning, Linux customizations, etc

    • Intermediate knowledge of relational databases
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
    • Demonstrates experienced disciplined approach to software development following sdlc such as Agile.
    Hands on development and technical experience building out highly configurable and performant FIX and custom API connectivity

    • Experience building or integrating with streaming cache services
    • Understanding of financial markets for FX, Equities, Futures
