Business Development Manager


My client, a market leading manufacturer in Shrewsbury are looking for a driven sales-orientated individual to join their business as a Business Development Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join a vibrant marketing team. This job offers a competitive salary alongside excellent opportunities for progression.


Purpose:


To follow-up and generate leads from inbound inquiries, internal database, data lists and events, to sales qualify and create sales opportunities to be followed-up and closed by sales team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • A passion for identifying customer problems and solutions and relationship building to generate engaged, wellqualified opportunities for sales.
  • A commercial approach to qualifying understanding the decisionmaking process and able to accurately find key decision makers and influencers.
  • Reach monthly opportunity targets determined by the marketing manager.
  • Work closely within the sales & marketing team, ensuring continuous growth of opportunity pipeline.
  • Maintain well organised, uptodate and accurate opportunity and activity reports in CRM system.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of products and services and use this knowledge to effectively pitch to various customer markets.
  • Ability to work through qualification criteria thoroughly and objectively, ensuring opportunities generated fall within the target customer profile.

Key Skills:


  • Sales experience in a new business / hunter role
  • Articulate and engaging on the phone
  • Persuasive in approach
  • Selfdisciplined and resultsfocused
  • Highly motivated, driven and possesses a sense of urgency
  • Computer literacy / familiarity with CRM systems (ideally SalesForce)
  • Ability to maintain and nurture relationships.
