Full Time - 35 Hours per Week

Fixed-Term Contract:12 months**We are seeking a research assistant who will support the work of an experienced postdoc, to bring to completion a very exciting project.


The Opportunity:


This position represents a great opportunity for a research assistant who curious, passionate about science and motivated, keen in learning cutting-edge technologies in a very friendly and informal environment.


In addition, he/she will be responsible for the supervision of orders, lab stocks and organization of the spaces, ensure that equipment/apparatus/systems etc in own area are maintained, serviced, backed-up and repaired as required, including taking appropriate action to protect IT systems.

Diagnose and rectify faults/problems with equipment and procedures. Monitor and maintain a safe working environment in accordance to Health & Safety procedures.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Previous experience with cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques is welcome.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Team player.
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, transparency and impeccable record keeping.
  • Previous experience with protein biochemistry is desirable.
  • Highly desirable previous experience in ChIPseq data analysis and general programming (Python and R) abilities.
