Cardiff or St Asaph (with hybrid working)

The Organisation
At Social Care Wales, we provide leadership and expertise in social care and early years in Wales.

Our vision is to make a positive difference to care and support for children, adults and their families and carers.

To do this, we lead on developing and regulating the social care workforce, service improvement, data and research to improve care.

We are now looking for a Project Management Officer to join our Strategy and Performance Team on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Project Management Officer, you will plan and deliver organisational projects to adapt how we work, improving how we support the social care and early years sector.

Managing projects on a day-to-day basis, you will look at ways we can continuously improve based on customer feedback. Using these insights, you will provide guidance on organisational compliance, risk management and information governance.

Developing relationships with stakeholders and other teams, you will communicate project aims and progress as well as ensuring adherence to compliance standards.


About You
To be considered as a Project Management Officer, you will need:

  • Experience managing projects to deliver improvement
  • Experience of developing and supporting approaches to the management of projects
  • Experience of project reporting and developing project documentation
  • Knowledge of project management principles and techniques
  • The ability to use IT to an intermediate level, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in both English and Welsh
  • A degree level education, an equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience
