    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electroplater and chemical metal finisher to join the team. Our well-established business has recently undergone rapid growth and we are seeking to add a new senior member to our finishing team.

    The Role

    As our Senior Electroplater and chemical process finisher you will be working in a challenging environment where quality is of the upmost importance. Key responsibilities will include:

    · Plating brass cabinet hardware in nickel, chrome, and copper.

    · Chemically processing to various unique finishes.

    · Conducting daily routine chemical checks and logging results.

    · Making chemical additions to our chemical finishing tanks following the daily checks and the guidance of our consultants.

    · Correctly storing chemicals in line with standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.

    · Managing and conducting routine maintenance.

    · Managing quality to ensure standards and processes are adhered to and achieved.

    · Ensuring all parts are assigned and the movements of work are correctly logged.

    · Managing general housekeeping.

    · Managing daily workloads and staffing within the finishing department.

    · Developing and improving processes and working procedures.

    Key Skills and Experience Required

    · Previous experience is necessary, training will be given on our unique finishes.

    · Exceptional knowledge of chemical make-up of nickel, chrome, and copper tanks.

    · Knowledge of the safe use and storage of chemicals in a chemical finishing environment.

    · Knowledge of plating plant maintenance.

    · Enthusiastic and energetic.

    · Ability to problem solve.

    · Highly organised and able to prioritise.

    · A focus on quality and diligence.

    · Able to manage and lead a team.

    · Basic knowledge of IT skills.

    Other information:

    Monday to Thursday 7.30 – 4.30

    Friday 7.30 – 12.30

    39 hours per week

    £12.00 to £14.00 per hour
