Job PurposeCreation and development of thought leadership and analysis focused on key commercial markets.
Supporting the economics team in employing the resulting outputs to drive positive change in the built environment through the adoption of standards and the growth and enhanced reputation of RICS.
Key Achievements & Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and development of the market leading suite of sentiment surveys
- Help the economics team in producing marketvalued, authoritative research reports in line with strategic objectives
- Communicate the outputs both internally and externally to a high standard supporting engagement with key stakeholders
- Assess changing market needs, developments and latest opportunities to advance the built environment and the ideas the drive it
- Work with teams across RICS in an open, planned and collaborative manner
- Production of market sentiment surveys
- High quality research and analysis produced to agreed targets
- Engagement with key stakeholders to promote the content and build the reputation of RICS
- Support for a focused, engaged, proud and motivated team
- Positive RICS crossteam working
Experience Required
- Experience / Skills Required
- Graduate degree in economics or applied mathematics
- Ability to interpret and understand the impact of economic and political developments on the built environment
- Good quantitative skills with strong knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of econometric software including EViews, as well as other economic software platforms such as Macrobond desirable but not essential
- Able to communicate effectively (both written and verbal communication)
- Comfortable with working independently and flexibly reporting into a UK based Chief/Senior Economist
- Confident and motivated selfstarter with a flexible and agile approach
