Position Overview:

My client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their team. Within the role, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining their data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on data warehousing and data pipelining, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility for analytics and reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support data warehousing initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices for data quality, data governance, and data security.
• Optimise and tune existing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements to our data infrastructure.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, Redshift).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi, AWS Glue).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
